Although the huge Central Lenin Museum is gone for
good, there is a smaller museum in the Smolny
Institute dedicated to the once revered founder of
the Soviet Union. The exhibition includes some great
socialist-realist portraits of Lenin, Stalin, and
other Revolutionary heroes, as well as photographs,
documents, and other memorabilia that used to be on
display in the Marble Palace.
